Third Coast Mahjong offers two levels of League play perfect for those seeking a regular social experience, a sense of community, and an opportunity to grow their game in a welcoming environment. Whether you’re refining advanced strategies or learning through experience, you’ll find encouragement, camaraderie, and a seat at the table.
Beginner League
Third Coast Mahjong offers a 4-week Beginner League (daytime and nighttime options) designed to help new players gain confidence in their skills through consistent, friendly matches. Perfect for those looking to play weekly, learn about scoring and connect with others in the Third Coast Mahjong community. Every player eligible for weekly door prizes. The top scorer walks away with a grand prize at the end of each league series.
Beginner League includes 2 hours of Mahjong game play, limited to 16 players. $100 per person.

Scoring follows the NMJL rules with bonuses: +10 for Self-pick; +20 for Jokerless hand; +10 for a Wall Game.

Intermediate League
Third Coast Mahjong offers an 6-week Intermediate league designed for experienced players looking for consistent, faster-paced gameplay in a fun, social environment. Each week players rotate through tables, play multiple games and track points. Every player is eligible for weekly door prizes. The top scorer walks away with a grand prize at the end of each league series
Intermediate League includes 2 hours of Mahjong game play, limited to 16 players. $150 per person.
