Third Coast Mahjong offers frequent Open Play and Guided Open Play sessions in our comfortable and inviting parlor. Whether you come solo or with a group, we’ve got everything you need to get Mahj’ing.
Open Play
Looking for a calm and welcoming space custom-made for Mahjong gameplay? Open Play is your chance to pull up a chair and connect with other players from the Third Coast Mahjong community.
When registering please indicate your skill level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) so we can match you with the appropriate table.

Open Play is a 2 hour session limited to 16 -24 players, depending on the Parlor’s schedule. Open Play is $20 per person.

Please bring your NMJL card. We have a limited amount of loaner cards.

Pre-registration required. We attempt to seat friend groups together.

Complimentary snacks and beverages are always available.

Guided Open Play
Confident with the basics and eager to play more? Guided Open Play is an engaging way to practice your Mahjong skills and gain confidence at the table. Our instructors will be on hand to answer questions and guide each game forward.
Guided Open Play is a 2 hour session limited to 4-8 players, depending on the Parlor’s schedule.

Please bring your NMJL card. A limited number of cards are available to purchase at the parlor.

Pre-registration required. Guided Open Play is $30 per person.

Events at the Parlor
Third Coast Mahjong hosts a curated mix of Mahjong-inspired events throughout the year designed to bring people together through shared experiences, friendly competition, and community connection. The Third Coast Mahjong parlor is also available for private and semi-private event rentals.
