Third Coast Mahjong offers frequent Open Play and Guided Play sessions in our comfortable and inviting parlor. Whether you come solo or with a group, we’ve got everything you need to get Mahj’ing.
Open Play
Looking for a calm and welcoming space custom-made for Mahjong gameplay? Open Play is your chance to pull up a chair and connect with other players from the Third Coast Mahjong community.
When registering please indicate your skill level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) so we can match you with the appropriate table.

Open Play is a 2 hour session limited to 16 players.

Please bring your NMJL card if you have one.
24 hour pre-registration required. $10 per person.

Coast Club members may attend up to 4 Open Plays per month at no charge as part of their monthly membership.

Complimentary snacks and beverages are always available.

Guided Play
Confident with the basics and eager for more play? Guided Play is an easy way to practice your Mahjong skills and gain confidence at the table. Our instructors will be on hand to answer questions and guide each game forward in a low-pressure way.
Guided Play is a 2 hour session limited to 16 players.

Events at the Parlor
Third Coast Mahjong hosts a curated mix of Mahjong-inspired events throughout the year designed to bring people together through shared experiences, friendly competition, and community connection. The Third Coast Mahjong parlor is also available for private and semi-private event rentals.
